Light-Weight

I was disappointed by the thin quality, although somewhere on the back of the package did say: Lightweight version available. Obviously that was the one I received. When placing the order however, I did not recall a heavier version being available...
I also feel that the hood pictured above must be the heavier kind, as mine does not resemble it at all. As a matter of fact, the seam around the eye-opening is not as thick as portrayed and the thread in one of the corners is already starting to unravel. The only plus I can find is that the light material might be more comfortable in a hot environment. However, the true protective value of its 3 Oz. Kevlar treads to me seems doubtful. And is that not the main purpose to obtain a hood like this? So then why bother with 2 different kind of qualities to begin with?
Looking at other products, I have started to notice a noticeable difference in quality between Hatch and say for instance Damascus. Very disappointing indeed for a product made in Canada.
