I like my Altama jungle boots. Altama has great customer service and I'm proud that they are made in the USA! They are comfortable, you just have to run them in. I would recommend them and I WOULD buy another pair!

Great stuff!
Everybody get blisters, especially with a new shoes. But when you get used to this boots - they are perfect!

great
This is my second pair, got my first in 2000, and after trying a few more types, I decided to get a new one of this type. Especially in the hot days they feel great to me, I can walk and fly easy. The grip on the ankle is great. If I need to scramble, they are fast and easy to put on. I wear them in the winter too,as long as the weather is dry. The size seems to be bigger than usual. i have a 11 1/2 w, and use a 11W, may be a 10 1/2 W would work too. Again, great boot

Great choice.
I made an excellent choice in purchasing these boots. I find them to be very comfortable, quieter than I expected, and overall very nice-lookng. I much prefer them to Altama's all leather combat boot. After 5-10 minutes of walking in them they felt broken in. Most certainly are they worth more than I paid for them.

Hamburger Meat
I purchased a pair of these altama jungle boots after joining a state guard unit..sadly they issue us next to nothing. They take a decent shine and look pretty good at first. Unfortunately, I spent $104 just to have my feet turned into hamburger meat after my first long march. Other enlistees in my unit suggested that I need more time to break these in but, frankly, the pain and blisters I went through were not worth it. I wish I had gotten a pair of the Bellevilles, as it seems they are far better than most other brands. Avoid these if you don't like limping around in formation.
