Great boot

Hello! I've had my pair for two years now. They're nice in either the summer or the winter. I had no problems whatsoever with my boot's finish. The one and only problem I had with these boots was using the cheater Kiwi Quick Shine. It streaked no matter how diligent my efforts. In hindsight, there’s no need to use the cheater instant spit shine. The leather finish on these boots is so smooth, that a simple buff shine leaves them with a brilliant luster. If you’re having problems with the finish ghosting for several days after your purchase, you needed to read the instructions and wash the boot. Apparently there’s some sort of moist liquid in the leather from the manufacturing process. It needs to be washed off before you shine them, or so the instructions in the box say. I kept buffing mine until it went away. It took a while. I’m quite sure that this was all my own fault, I probably should have followed the instructions… Once these boots are broken in, they are indeed quite comfortable. Unfortunately, my pair took a blistery long time to break in. About twice as long as other combat boots I’ve owned. If not two weeks, I’d say that it was at least a week. The first week I only wore these boots while I was in the house. I usually do this with all new boots for a week, and then I venture out of the house on short jaunts. By the end of the second week, all my other boots were broken in, and I never got a blister, but with these boots, it was an entirely different story. The long break in period was worth it though because they are now quite comfortable to sport about. Remember, if you like to use the instant shine, don't. I was in the USMC and I still like to wear shiny boots. Using the instant shine on these boots really disappointed me.

Outstanding

The fit is excellent even with the funky shape of my feet, they shine up nicely, great comfort and support and they are historically correct! What more could you ask for!

Best boots I have

These are a classic boot. The design has changed little since they first entered action in the 1940s. They are very comfortable after they have been broken in over time and have a great brown leather look. The boots, with leather laces, are historicly on point with those worn by our men in Normandy through Belgium. I hope more people buy these boots and any other Corcoran Jump Boot out there, they are top of the and AR 670-1 aproves them for wear by any soldier (ACU and BDU version only, Brown is obsolete.)
