I was never a huge fan of knee pads. Most of them were too bulky for my taste and the discomfort of wearing them all the time wasn't worth the reward of having them. The day before I left to attend Ranger School I saw a pair at US Cav and decided to get them just in case. These kneepads were one of the best purchases I have made as far as tactical gear goes. They were as comfortable as a knee pad is going to get (in the end you still know its there) and they were not too big and bulky that they became a problem. I used them throughout Ranger School and afterwards on my deployment to Iraq. They survived all of that and the only complaint I had was that the padding got a little thinner but thats to be expected. They are durable, comfortable and they save your knees from a beating. Even if you aren't a fan of knee pads, purchase a pair just in case...take my word for it.

These pads work very well, stay up when moving quickly. The straps will ride down into knee bend behind the leg every once awhile, had no problem with them becoming that uncomfortable. No one is on their knee's or kneel as much as refrigeration tech. I've worn every brand of pad made just about, these buy far are the best of the lot. Tough as nails with some minor improvements to the straps and a slip proof material with the cool max liner these would be the perfect knee pads. hope Hatch makes these changes, but will still purchase another pair if i can wear these out.

Throughout training the straps bunch up behind the knee joint making it painful to squat down or kneel. I was not happy with this product.
