I've owned a G-Shock for years. Wore one throughout my Military service and wear one in Law Enforcement. From Jumping out of airplanes, to diving, to fighting, in War, whatever, this watch takes beating and keeps on ticking. One can spend alot more money on a tactical watch that will quit in a month or so and never works right. Go with the G-Shock and you won't be disappointed.

Should Last A Lifetime
The G-Shock watch takes a beating and keeps on going.
It sounds like a bad commercial but the G-Shock is worth its weight in the field to the high seas & I know as I have had mine for 20 years and it served 10 years in the military right along with with and still is running fine.

Best watch ever!
This will be the last watch you will ever buy. G-Shock is the way to go for anyone who is out in the field a lot or working with equipment on a consistent basis. The only reason I am buying a new watch is because I have somehow misplaced my old one. I got it issued to me in 2002 and it has been all over the world since then. (Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Iraq 2x's. I only had to replace the battery twice in that timeframe and the band twice. I can't count the number of times it got banged against something and didn't show any sign of damage.

Got the old version
I have the older version of this watch and I have had it for almost 15 years. I have replaced the battery twice but the watch is stellar. Only complaint, which I think was fixed with this new version is almost impossible to read at night. The watch has been through Hell and back in the field, in my Bradley and even an M1 as a Loaner Loader I banged the snot of this thing and never once worried about breaking the face. If your a tough S.O.B. this watch is your best choice!!

This is the toughest watch I have ever owned. You can pound it with a rock and it will still tell you what time it is.
